Middletown Unified School District Superintendent Released from Contract

The Middletown Unified School District’s Superintendent has been released from his contract. The school board made the decision to end Michael Cox’s employment during a special meeting on Monday. Cox was hired in April 2020. The board says Dr. David Miller will be acting superintendent. The retired Mendocino Unified School District superintendent, also served as interim superintendent in October 2019 following the board’s termination of Superintendent Catherine Stone.
