A woman died in a head-on crash in Lake County. The California Highway Patrol’s Clear Lake Area office said the wreck occurred shortly after 10 a.m. yesterday on Highway 29 just outside of Lakeport. 66-year-old Charmaine Garcia, of Kelseyville, was traveling northbound when a Mazda Protege traveling southbound drifted into the northbound lane. The Mazda’s driver was pronounced dead at the scene. Garcia suffered major injuries.
