Caltrans recently awarded $34 million in state and federal funds to cities, counties, tribes and transit agencies throughout California to improve the state’s transportation network. Caltrans District 1, which includes Mendocino and Lake counties, was awarded approximately $700,000 to tribes, agencies and local governments, for transit and active transportation projects. Lake County will receive just over $103,500 the Lake County Transit Development Plan Update. Mendocino County was awarded $177,000 for a Mobility Solutions for Rural Communities of Inland Mendocino County study.
