Public Health Officer Dr. Gary Pace gave an update on COVID vaccines during a meeting with Lake County Commissioners yesterday. He so far, 30 percent of county residents aged 16 and older have gotten at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccine. As of Sunday, 6,500 county residents over age 16 are partially vaccinated, while 9,200, are fully vaccinated. According to Dr. Pace, the county’s vaccine inventory is good and that the state is sending 40 people to help staff vaccination sites.
