Mendocino Superior Court Judge Retires

Judge Clayton Brennan has retired from the Mendocino County Superior Court after 19 years. Elected in 2006, he presided over all case types in Willits and Fort Bragg. Known for his even temper and community awareness, Presiding Judge Keith Faulder noted Brennan’s contributions, stating his judicial temperament, humor, and versatility will be missed.

Fort Bragg Man Must Pay Damages After Hit and Run

A Fort Bragg jury has convicted David Koehn, 71, of a hit-and-run causing property damage. The incident occurred in July 2024 at Community First Credit Union. A restitution hearing is scheduled for Wednesday, the 12th to determine the amount Koehn must pay for damages.

Lake County Supers Vote Assistance for Food Crisis Relief

On Tuesday, Lake County Supervisors approved $80,000 for food crisis relief, despite Supervisor Sabatier calling it “a drop in the bucket” for the nearly a quarter of county residents lacking food support due to frozen SNAP benefits. The board unanimously voted for immediate allocation from reserves, forming an ad hoc committee to coordinate assistance.

Lakeport’s Fall Community Cleanup A Success

The City of Lakeport has announced that its Fall Community Clean-Up Day was a success.  Residents dropped off a total of 11,096.7 pounds of unwanted materials.  The City thanks Lakeport Disposal for its  continued partnership and participation in the annual event.

Kelseyville Resident Identified As Crash Victim in Santa Rosa

Authorities have identified 55-year-old John Plasier Jr. of Kelseyville as the victim in a fatal single-vehicle accident on October 16th in Santa Rosa. Plasier lost control of his Ford Expedition on northbound Highway 101, striking the center median, crossing all lanes, hitting a guardrail, and rolling into a ditch where the vehicle was partially submerged.
