A Northcoast contractor with experience in giving old buildings new life has secured the title to the historic Palace Hotel. Round Valley residents now have access to fiber optic broadband internet. According to MendocinoCountyPublicBroadcsting, the project, spearheaded by the Mendocino County Public Library system has already begun to make a difference in the community. Over 400 addresses now have access to fiber optic broadband in the area.
A magnitude 2.9 earthquake was recorded Tuesday afternoon in Lake County. The temblor struck at 2:18 pm, with the epicenter 6.8 miles north of Lake Pillsbury, just south of the Mendocino County Line. A 17-year-old from Covelo was arrested for making criminal threats against Round Valley High and Elementary schools in Mendocino County.
