Lake County Sheriff’s Activity League Operating Again This Summer

The Lake County Sheriff’s Department is again sponsoring the Sheriff’s Activities League for the summer. Activities are provided at no cost to families. The 8-week program is for kids 5 to 16, with something for everyone. Youth volunteers are welcome. More information is available on the Lake County Sheriff’s Activities Facebook page.

California Adopt-A-Pet Day is Saturday

The first ever California Adopt a Pet Day will be held tomorrow, Saturday, June 1st. The statewide adoption day will have more than 150 state animal welfare sites offering free adoptions to find homes for over 2000 shelter pets. Pedestrian Killed by Hit and Run Driver Identified

The pedestrian who was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver on Sunday has been identified. Martha Marie Martinez, 23 of Clearlake was walking along Highway 53 north of Anderson Ranch Parkway outside of Clearlake when she was struck.
