High Surf Advisory for Coastal Mendocino County

A high surf advisory continues in effect through Friday for coastal Mendocino County. Large breaking waves of 22 to 26 feet with dangerously high runup on beaches are predicted Dangerous surf conditions and beach erosion are expected. Beach combing is highly discouraged.

A beach hazards statement is in effect through Wednesday afternoon. The National Weather Service says an increased threat of sneaker waves is expected for the Mendocino Coast.
