Power Restored in South Lake County

A power outage in south Lake County outage was caused by the weather. Over 800 residents, in and around Hidden Valley Lake and Spruce Grove Road, were without power from Saturday night to Sunday morning. PG&E sent out a helicopter on Sunday morning to look for the cause of the outage.

Ukiah Sets New High Temperature Record

An excessive heat warning is in effect until tonight for Northeastern Mendocino Interior, and Northern and Southern Lake County. This follows another weekend where temperatures reached triple digits. A new daily record of 111 degrees was set at Ukiah on Saturday. The old record for the date was 110 set in 2002.

New COVID-19 Cases Connected to Restauarant and Recent Event

Governor Gavin Newsom signed an executive order yesterday calling on all Californians to voluntarily reduce their water use by 15% compared to 2020 levels through simple actions such as reducing landscape irrigation, running dishwashers and washing machines only when full, finding and fixing leaks, installing water-efficient showerheads and taking shorter showers. The Broiler Fire was stopped and controlled yesterday, and all evacuation orders were lifted. The final update had the fire at 80 acres and 75% contained.
