Two more Mendocino County residents have passed away due to COVID-19: An 81-year-old woman from Fort Bragg; fully vaccinated, and a 51-year-old man from Ukiah; not vaccinated. In total, 86 residents have died in the county from COVID during the pandemic.

Hit and Run Conviction

A Fort Bragg woman was found guilty of fleeing the scene of a crash that killed a man skateboarding near Mendocino in 2019. According to the Mendocino County District Attorney, 43-year-old Gina Rae Bean, faces up to four years in state prison. She’s scheduled to be sentenced on December 3rd.
