Three new Mendocino County deputies were sworn in on Monday. Juan Ayala, Daniel Buschbacher, and Kevin Aguilar will work in the Mendocino County Jail after completing their training. Ukiah City Council to Consider Campfire Ordinance

The Ukiah City Council at its meeting this evening at 5:15 will consider an ordinance that will help law enforcement address campfires being built on private property for cooking and other uses. A loophole in the city code has allowed the practice, which has caused a disproportionate number of fires in the city limits.
