A Willits man has been found guilty of possession of illegal weapons and molotov cocktails in Mendocino Superior Court. After a brief jury trial, Derek Brendon Cleek was found guilty. Cleek was remanded with no bail into the custody of the Mendocino County Sheriff and will stand for sentencing on the 31st.

The Ukiah City Council has approved the seventh version of the plans to build a Redwood Credit Union branch at the corner of Perkins and Main, after much debate in the community. After three and a half hours, the council voted 3-2, to approve the Credit Union’s final proposal.

The 17th Annual Empty Bowls Fundraiser is being held this Saturday at Plowshares on State Street. The event is Plowshare’s main fundraiser of the year.
