CalFire Lifts Suspension of Burn Permits

CAL FIRE Mendocino Unit has lifted the suspension of residential outdoor burn permits. Agriculture burns must be inspected by CAL FIRE prior to burning until the end of the peak fire season. Inspections may be required for burns other than agriculture burns. Burn Permits are available online from CAL FIRE at burnpermit.fire.ca.gov.

Firefighting Air Attack Battalion Chief Taglio To Retire

Battalion Aviation Chief Ray Taglio took his last flight in that position on Sunday. Taglio has served at the Ukiah Air Attack Base, operating as the eyes in the sky for Mendocino firefighters. Mendocino County Projects Awarded Clean California Grants

Three projects in Mendocino County have been awarded grants totaling more than $7.5 million thanks to the Clean California program.
