There has been another delay in the case against Mendocino County Auditor Chamise Cubbison. Cubbison’s lawyer, Chris Andrian asked the court to reschedule a preliminary hearing for next Tuesday, after receiving hundreds of pages of subpoenaed documents. Pre-trial discovery in the case became challenging, which led to Andrian’s subpoena of the county in late March. … Read more

The 40th Annual Clearlake Oaks Catfish Derby is next week. The proposed Redwood Credit Union branch in downtown Ukiah has hit another snag. As currently designed, the new building planned for the corner of Main and Perkins Street would prove too expensive to build, as the modifications required to satisfy the Planning Commission have pushed the cost of the project to a prohibitive level.
The Middletown Area Town Hall, or MATH, meets today at 7 pm and will hear updates on a major use permit for a just under 20-acre cannabis grow proposed by former Supervisor Jim Comstock. The group will also discuss the PG&E geothermal waste landfill and the Middletown Area Plan update.
