Lake County Jobless Rate Up From Last Month

The state’s jobless rate, including that in Lake County, rose slightly in November.  The state rose one-tenth of a percent and in Lake County rose from 5.7% in October to 6.1% in November, the highest since March, which was 6.4.

The Yuba Community College District Board has approved the contract with the new president of Woodland Community College. After conferring for about 10 minutes, the board voted to finalize the contract with Dr. Lizette Navarette. The search for a new president has taken several months to complete.
