Power was restored shortly after noon in Redwood Valley and Potter Valley after the second outage in less than a week. PG&E reports almost 1700 customers were without power starting at about 10:30 Tuesday morning. PG&E’s outage tracker website said the cause of the outage was unknown.
Although unemployment in the state remains unchanged, Lake County experienced a slight uptick in joblessness in June. Lake County’s unemployment rate in June was 5.7%, compared to 5% in May and 6% in April. At the same time last year, the jobless rate was 5.2%.
