Sneaker Waves Expected Today Along Mendocino Coast

There’s an increased threat of sneaker waves expected today for the Mendocino Coast. Large, unexpected waves can sweep people off the beach, rocks, and jetties. Those waves can also carry large objects that can crush someone. Never turn your back on the ocean.

All three police departments in Mendocino County have hired new officers. The Ukiah Police Department has hired Officer August Kinney. Jobless Rate Up in Lake County, Across State in December

Lake County, along with the rest of the state saw an increase in unemployment in December. TheLakeCountyNews reports the unemployment rate rose from 6.1% in November to 6.9% in December. The jobless rate in December 2022 was 5.4%. The state jobless rate rose from 4.9 to 5.1% for the same time.

Flood Watch Continues for Mendocino, Lake Counties, Sneaker Waves Along the Coast

A flood watch is in effect for Lake and Mendocino counties. Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
