Reports of downed trees continue throughout Mendocino County due to over-saturated soil. A century-old oak tree in Talmage toppled on Wednesday morning, much to the dismay of residents. Fort Bragg’s Finance Director, Isaac Whippy, has been chosen by the City Council as City Manager. He will hold both positions until the Council fills the position of Senior Government Accountant, who will take on the day-to-day financial operations of the city.
