The Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office has a new chaplain. Davina Sentak retired from CalFire in 2017 and has worked with the Ukiah Valley Fire Authority and the Sheriff’s office. Sentak is a longtime county resident and currently lives in Willits.

Wednesday, Governor Newsom extended the drought emergency for 39 counties, including Lake County, due to continued dry conditions, the past three years have been the driest years on record for the area. The governor also terminated the drought declaration for 19 counties, including Mendocino County.
