Suspended Mendocino County Auditor Chamise Cubbison’s defense team has filed a motion with the court to dismiss the criminal charges against her, a year after the case was initiated by DA David Eyster. A hearing on the motion is scheduled for November 13th.

The Ladies of the Lake Quilt Guild will hold its Falling Leaves Quilt Show at Lewis Hall at the Lake County Fairgrounds in Lakeport on Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm and Sunday from 10 am to 4 pm. Over 160 quilts will be on display.
The Clearlake City Council meets at 6 pm on Thursday and will consider a resolution granting consent to the county of Lake to establish the Lake County Hospital Improvement District, after hearing a report at the beginning of the month from the Adventist Health Clear Lake regarding establishing a hospital district in the county.
The Lake County Board of Supervisors meets today and will consider awarding a contract to dredge the Lucerne Harbor. The lowest of two bids to do the work was submitted by Marz Engineering for just under $212K.
