Mendocino County has balanced its annual budget. CEO Darci Antle said presenting a balanced budget was challenging this year, with a state budget deficit, flat revenues for the county, and wage increases of about $9 million over three years. Budget-related items are still expected to appear on the County Board of Supervisors’ agenda.
Lake County Sheriff-Elect Lucas Bingham has graduated from the FBI’s National Academy in Quantico. The National Academy is 10 weeks of advanced communication, leadership, and fitness training. Participants must have proven records as professionals within their agencies to attend. He’ll start his new position as Sheriff in January.
