Lower Lake Homicide Victim Identified

The Lake County Sheriff’s Office has identified Luis Padilla Pina, 25, of Lower Lake, as the victim of last week’s homicide. Deputies found Padilla Pina’s body on Friday at 7 a.m. in the 12000 block of South State Highway 29 following a report of a possible home invasion. The investigation is ongoing.

Repeat Auto Theft Offender Gets Four Years

Peng Yang, 46, of Rancho Cordova, has received a four-year state prison sentence and was ordered to pay $5,000 in restitution for his fifth felony auto theft conviction. His criminal record includes prior auto theft convictions in 2000, 2006, 2008, and 2018, along with other theft-related crimes.
