A 74-year-old Mendocino County man was found in his truck submerged in the Russian River on Saturday. The Mendocino County Sheriff’s office says Clifford Souza was reported missing last Wednesday. Investigators believe Souza’s truck ran off the road and into the river, though its unclear when.
When the Clearlake City Council meets on Thursday evening, it will hear two appeals of orders of abatement on 15 properties in the city. City staff will ask the council to adopt resolutions denying the appeals. The cases and properties in question have been before the council since 2019 and through 2024.
