The Jack Peters Creek Bridge on Route 1, north of Mendocino is scheduled to be fully closed on Sunday and Monday. Emergency vehicles will be escorted by construction crews during the closure. The bridge is being widened to accommodate two lanes, two shoulders, and a pedestrian walkway.

PG&E has been working to restore power lost due to the recent storms. Nearly 130K customers lost power and 97% have been restored. Point Arena saw 90 mph wind gusts and strong winds are expected to continue through the weekend, so more outages could be expected.

A flood watch continues to be in effect for most of Mendocino County through this evening. An additional 1 to 2 inches of rain is expected to fall. The risk of rock and landslides along roadways continues and low water crossings may be flooded. Rain is expected to continue into next week.
Mendocino County officials are urging residents to exercise caution during the stormy weather. Slick road conditions and objects in roadways are all a possibility. Power outages could still occur as well. Avoid travel if at all possible.
