A small vegetation fire near Ukiah was quickly controlled yesterday evening. According to Cal Fire Mendocino Unit, the vegetation Fire was at Hwy 101 near Nelson RD. Helitack and Hopland Fire, Ukiah Valley and Cal Fire all assisted at the scene.

Storms on Friday caused some spot fires around Willits and near Brooktrails. At least one small fire that was started by lightning, was quickly doused by the rain.
