A woman died near Fort Bragg last Tuesday after a large wave swept her into the ocean at MacKerricher State Park. MCSO deputies responded after witnesses pulled the unresponsive woman, likely in her 70s, from the water and performed life-saving measures. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
