Lake County Board of Supers Supports Secure Rural Schools Program

The Lake County Board of Supervisors approved sending a letter to Congressman Mike Thompson supporting the Secure Rural Schools program, which expired last June and has not yet been reauthorized. Without funding from that bill, rural schools and other public education programs in Lake County could lose almost five hundred thousand dollars a year.

Crash Knocks Hydrant Over in Fort Bragg

It was two vehicles and a hydrant crash on Tuesday evening at the Boatyard Shopping Center in Fort Bragg.  A gushing column of water from the hydrant struck by one of the cars shot into the air for a time.  No injuries were reported and Public Works was notified.

Covelo Man Killed in Single Vehicle Crash Over the Weekend
