Inmates Test Positive for COVID-19 at Mendocino County Jail

The results of recent COVID-19 testing at the Mendocino County Jail showed there are currently six male inmates and one female inmate who are positive for the virus. Three Corrections Deputies have tested positive; two were detected by the jail’s screening process and one was detected through off-site testing.

Schools in Lower Lake Closed Due to Cache Fire

Schools in Lower Lake remain closed today as a result of the Cache fire. Today through the weekend, staff will be deep cleaning the interiors of the school buildings and will change out HVAC filters. The superintendent says they hope to have students in Lower Lake back in their classrooms on Monday.
