Mendocino County Board of Supervisors Meets Tuesday Morning

The Mendocino County Board of Supervisors meets Tuesday morning at 9 and will discuss whether to allow low-intensity camping in the county as a new type of “transient habitation”. Supervisors will discuss the possibility of a limited number of short-term commercial campsites on properties within the inland areas of the county.

Lakeport Economic Development Advisory Committee Meets Wednesday

The Lakeport Economic Development Advisory Committee meets Wednesday at 7:30 am and will hear economic updates, the city’s economic development strategy plan, and the Business Walk presentation to the Lakeport City Council. The Clear Lake area office of the California Highway Patrol has a new officer. Officer Corey Burgess graduated from the Academy recently and has started his field training with experienced CHP officers in Lake County. Officer Burgess is stationed in Kelseyville.

A Redwood Valley man accused of making criminal threats late last October has been convicted. Shelson Louis Cabada, 26, of Redwood Valley, was found guilty of making criminal threats. Crash Near Hopland Claims One

A crash on SB Highway 101 just south of Hopland late Tuesday afternoon resulted in one fatality. The crash happened near the Green Street Bridge around 12:45.
