Lake County reported another COVID-19 related death. While there are now 36 deaths, case trends are dropping, with 24 more recoveries reported yesterday. There are 107 active cases in the county.

About 1,000 more COVID-19 vaccine doses are arriving in Lake County this week, allowing a limited number of residents aged 65 and older to receive their first dose. Public Health Officer Dr. Gary Pace says 10 percent of county residents have received the first dose of the vaccine so far.

Lake County confirmed another COVID-19 related death yesterday, bringing the total to 35. The report also shows the number of active cases has dropped to 131. The number of recovered cases is up to 2,719. From January 17 – 23, Lake County had a 6.7% positivity rate for the 7-day average.
