Governor Signs Dodd Bill That Expands Use of Prescribed Burning

Governor Gavin Newsom signed legislation this week from Senator Bill Dodd, that will help prevent future loss of life and property by expanding the use of prescribed burning to control combustible fuels. The bill was supported by a broad coalition including ranchers, conservationists and tribal governments.

Clear Lake State Park Part of AdventurePass Program

California fourth-graders and their families can now apply to get a California State Park Adventure Pass, good for free admission to 19 state parks – including Clear Lake State Park. Two more Mendocino County residents have passed away due to COVID-19: An 81-year-old woman from Fort Bragg; fully vaccinated, and a 51-year-old man from Ukiah; not vaccinated. In total, 86 residents have died in the county from COVID during the pandemic.
