Eureka Couple Arrested in Mendocino Armed Robbery

In a press release from the Eureka Police Department, Eureka residents Brandon Haselip and Michelle McDonald were arrested in Eureka on charges of armed robbery that occurred in Mendocino County. Both were booked into the Humboldt County jail on the Mendocino warrants.

Lake County’s Jobless Rate Lowest Since Start of Pandemic

Lake County’s jobless numbers are looking up, November improved enough to give the county it’s lowest unemployment numbers since the beginning of the pandemic. Lake County recorded a 5.8% jobless rate last month, as compared to 7.4% in November of 2020. Lake County’s labor force in November totaled 28,340 individuals, of which 1,650 were unemployed.
