Mendocino County Sees Record Breaking Election Turnout

According to the Mendocino County Assessor-County Clerk-Recorder, Katrina Bartolomei, the number of votes cast in the county was record-breaking. Bartolomei reported to the Mendocino County Board of Supervisors that her office had received around 23,000 ballots on the morning of election day, with more than 54,600 registered voters, a large increase from 2020. Clearlake City Council Meets Thursday Evening

The Clearlake City Council meets this evening at 7 and will hear a report on the Lake County campus of Woodland Community College and discuss housing as well a new rules for tobacco retailers in the city.  The board will also consider the annual financial report and audit report for fiscal year 2022-23.

Bicyclist Killed in Crash Near Middletown Identified

The bicyclist killed in a crash along Highway 175 near Middletown early Monday evening has been identified. The Lake County Sheriff’s Office said Matthew David Marx, 73, was the victim in the crash.
