Hopland Pomo Band To Celebrate New Housing

The Hopland Band of Pomo Indians will celebrate the completion of a new fourplex housing development for chronically homeless tribal members this Saturday. The Northern Circle Indian Housing Authority is hosting the ribbon-cutting ceremony from 11:15 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 13000 Nokomis Road in Hopland.

Body of Man Found in Ukiah Over the Weekend

A man’s body was discovered in a dry creek bed in Ukiah on Saturday. A citizen reported the finding to Ukiah Police, who then notified the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office for a coroner’s investigation. The cause of death is undetermined; an autopsy and toxicology report are pending.
