Flood Watch Continues for Mendocino County

A flood watch continues to be in effect for most of Mendocino County through this evening. An additional 1 to 2 inches of rain is expected to fall. The risk of rock and landslides along roadways continues and low water crossings may be flooded. Rain is expected to continue into next week.

Power Outages Along Mendocino Coast Due to Storms

Power was out along the Mendocino Coast Wednesday evening, as storms from the atmospheric river moved into the area. Outages started just after three, leaving just over 3300 customers without power. Sandbag Stations Open in Lake and Mendocino Counties

Inmate Who Died Late October in Mendo County Jail Identified

The Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office has released the name of an inmate who died in custody in October. During a routine check late evening on October 29th, 40-year-old Issa Niambele of Ukiah was found unresponsive on the floor of his holding cell. Lifesaving measures were implemented and he was transported to Adventist Health Ukiah Valley. … Read more

Veterans Dinner At Clearlake Oaks Moose Lodge

The Clearlake Oaks Moose Lodge will hold a free dinner for veterans this evening from 5:30 to 7 p.m. There’ll be music by Randy Hood. The event is free to all veterans and non-veteran guests are asked for a $10 donation, which will benefit local veterans organizations.
