Anthony Pinola, last seen near Gualala was captured and booked into the Mendocino County Jail on two felony counts, threatening bodily injury and domestic battery.

The City of Ukiah has been awarded just under $54 million for expansion of its water recycling project. The grant from The California State Water Resources Control Board will reduce the city’s reliance on Lake Mendocino, the Russian River and groundwater for irrigation purposes.
The Army Corps of Engineers, for the first time in four years, has announced it will hold a series of water releases from the Coyote Valley Dam at Lake Mendocino starting mid-day today. Higher water levels in the reservoir and better conditions downstream on the Russian River allow for the releases.

A man on parole was arrested for threatening a skating rink worker on Wednesday evening in Ukiah. Patrick Redmill resisted arrest and physically threatened an officer, then tried to escape. He was taken to the Mendocino County Jail.
