Lake County Board of Supers Meets Tomorrow Morning, Will Consider Replacement for County Counsel

The Lake County Board of Supervisors is set to meet tomorrow at 9 am to continue to consider the draft proclamation declaring an emergency regarding the Clear Lake Hitch. The board will also consider recruiting a new County Counsel to replace Anita Grant who retires mid-March after more than thirty years in the Counsel’s office.

McGuire Introduces Bill That Holds Harsher Penalties for Arson

Senate Majority Leader Mike McGuire has introduced a new bill to give prosecutors the ability to pursue tougher sentences for cases of aggravated arson. The LakeCountyNews reports McGuire’s office pointed to damaging arson fires in Lake County and other parts of the state as the motivation for SB 281.
