The two people killed in the crash of a private plane near Covelo over the weekend are thought to be out-of-state residents. Investigation into the fiery crash near the Round Valley Airport continues. The Mendocino County Sheriff’s office says family members had contacted the office to report that their loved ones were on that plane.
The Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office has discovered human remains near Bauer Ranch Road and Mendocino Pass Road. CalFIRE Mendocino personnel plans on conducting a controlled burn of brush piles at the unit headquarters in Willits. The burns are scheduled from today through Saturday, November 4th. There may be smoke visible in the area. Approximately 20-25 piles will be burnt.
