A shelter-in-place order was in effect for Fort Bragg for about an hour midday Sunday as law enforcement searched for Michael Anthony Jones, wanted for a shooting in which a Fort Bragg man sustained non-life threatening injuries. The suspect was not found in the area and is still at large.
Mendocino County Superior Court Judge Keith Faulder has denied suspended Auditor Chamise Cubbison’s request to recuse DA David Eyster from her prosecution. State Route 128, one of Mendocino County’s main east/west corridors is open again after closing briefly early yesterday morning. The closure was from where 128 intersects with Highway 1 on the coast inland to Navarro. Continued wet weather midweek could continue flooding issues in that area.
