Mendocino County Firefighter Contain Small Wildfire Near Willits

Mendocino County Firefighters were able to stop a wildfire burning along Highway 101 yesterday afternoon that had burned around 25 acres. The Golden Fire started 10 miles south of Willits. The Sheriff’s office issued a situational alert through Nixle. Firefighters with air support were able to contain the blaze.
