Drivers are advised to slow down in that area and follow all traffic control signs.
A mobile home fire in Willits was quickly extinguished last night. A call around 9:45 reported a unit on fire in the Wagon Wheel Mobile Home Park was on fire. The trailer was fully engulfed. One occupant escaped the home.
A fire reported early last night in the area of Vichy Springs Road and Medicine Way may have been intentionally set. Reports indicate that a burglar alarm in a building was triggered shortly before the fire broke out. Mendocino County Firefighters were able to stop a wildfire burning along Highway 101 yesterday afternoon that had burned around 25 acres. The Golden Fire started 10 miles south of Willits. The Sheriff’s office issued a situational alert through Nixle. Firefighters with air support were able to contain the blaze.
