The Lake County Board of Supervisors meets tomorrow morning and will consider reallocation of just over $867,000 from the state’s Permanent Local Housing Allocation to establish a Regional Housing Trust Fund in a partnership with Clearlake and Lakeport. The board will also hold a public hearing on the state’s new fire hazard severity zone map.

Prescribed Burns Start Today Along the 101

Cal Fire will begin prescribed burns along U.S. Highway 101 between Ukiah and Willits starting Monday, covering about 400 acres of grass starting at Nelson Ranch Road south of Ukiah, and finishing at the top of Ridgewood Grade south of Willits. Injury Crash in Hopland on Thursday Ties Up Morning Commute

A major injury crash just north of Hopland tied up the morning commute for a time. A pickup truck crashed into a tree along the 101 around 7 am on Thursday. The driver was trapped in the vehicle and required extrication. An air ambulance was requested to evacuate the driver to the nearest trauma center.
