Clearlake City Council Meets On Tuesday

The Clearlake City Council will meet tomorrow, Thursday, October 2, at 6 p.m. During the meeting, the council will address several key issues,  including whether to join an organization that would supply power to city residents, and potentially rescinding previous actions concerning hotel and road projects due to an ongoing lawsuit .  

Illegal Grow Site in Northern Mendo County Raided

Authorities destroyed over 6,200 cannabis plants and seized over 600 pounds of processed cannabis from three unlicensed parcels in northern Mendocino County’s Island Mountain region early last week. Deputies also discovered banned toxic pesticides and rodenticides. No arrests were made, but the investigation is ongoing.

Mendocino National Forest Receives Grant Funding for Off Highway Vehicle Recreation

California State Parks’ Off Highway Motor Vehicle Recreation Division awarded over $23 million in 2025 grants to 119 projects across 81 agencies, districts, and nonprofits, including The Mendocino National Forest, which received the largest award at $967,718.
