Mendocino County Superintendent Nicole Glentzer has ordered a new special election on August 25 to fill the vacant Ukiah Unified School District Board Area 6 seat, open since Rebeca Orozco’s resignation. Applications for Area 6 residents are available at the Mendocino County Registrar of Voters’ office from May 4 to May 29th. The winner will complete the current term ending December 11, and may run for a full term in November.
