The Lake County Fire Protection District staged an emergency task force through the California Office of Emergency Services until 5 p.m. Thursday, in case of need due to the current weather, including four engines, a hand crew, a dozer, a Type VI engine, and a leader. The district noted that their typical calls in a 48-hour shift can triple during major storm events.
