The Lakeport City Council approved a just over $970,000 contract with Piazza Construction to upgrade the Wastewater Treatment Plant. The project replaces the chlorine gas disinfection system with a safer, more reliable liquid sodium hypochlorite system, enhancing employee safety and operational consistency. Funded entirely by the city’s sewer operations fund, construction is scheduled from March to August.
