A coastal flood warning is in effect until noon today for coastal Mendocino County. High astronomical tides and large surf will cause moderate to major flooding in low-lying areas along the coast. Low-lying areas, including roadways, could be affected. A flood watch is in effect for Lake and Mendocino counties from this afternoon through Sunday evening. 2-4 inches of rain are expected over the weekend. There’s also a wind advisory for Lake and Mendocino counties from around 1 pm through Saturday night.
