A beach hazards statement will be in effect from early tomorrow-Thursday morning, through tomorrow night for coastal Mendocino County. Large, unexpected waves can sweep across the beach without warning, sweeping people into the sea. Sneaker waves can also carry large objects, with the possibility of crushing anyone caught underneath.
