Kelseyville Pear Festival A Big Hit

Thousands attended Kelseyville’s 31st annual Pear Festival, celebrating Lake County’s agricultural heritage. The day featured a parade (Clear Lake State Park won top honors, followed by Anne Mary Skeen, with Latinos United of Lake County and Kelseyville High School tying for third), food vendors, farm equipment, and classic cars. California Women for Agriculture baked 100 pear pies and 700 pear popovers, while Presbyterian Women served pear milkshakes. Emily Navarro won the pear dessert contest, which had 26 entries, for her holiday pear cake balls.
