The Ukiah City Council meets on Wednesday and will hear a presentation on a proposed senior housing development to be built by the Northern Circle Indian Housing Authority, with priority given to members of the five Mendocino County tribes. Ukiah Elders Village would be built on a 2.57-acre lot purchased last fall from the Cooper Family Trust. Building permit applications are expected to be submitted later this summer, with construction tentatively set to begin in spring 2026.
