A 23-year-old man has been arrested by Fort Bragg Police in connection with a break-in and violent sexual assault that took place early morning on the 21st. At the end of week, two search warrants were served at a home in the 100 block of S. McPherson Street and several individuals were contacted, including the suspect. Pieces of evidence were also seized, not only connecting the suspect to the assault but to other cases as well. Police say Cayden Craig, 23 was arrested and booked into the Mendocino County Jail on suspicion of rape, burglary, and false imprisonment. A bail enhancement was granted, and his bail is currently set at $1,000,000. Anyone with information regarding the case is asked to contact the Fort Bragg Police.
