The man who died in custody in February after being pulled from a creek in Ukiah was found to have succumbed to an accidental overdose. 29-year-old Emil Redzic of Ukiah, died on February 26 after being arrested by deputies near Orr Creek Bridge. At the time of his death, the Sheriff’s office launched a coroner’s investigation and contacted the DA’s office. Toxicology reports from Redzic’s autopsy confirm a drug overdose.
