Prestigious Preservation Magazine Declares Palace Hotel Saved

The historic Palace Hotel in Ukiah has been featured as one of five projects in the quarterly magazine of the National Trust for Historic Preservation. MendoFever reports the article in the Spring edition of Preservation magazine stated the hotel has hope in the form of its new steward, local contractor Tom Carter. Preservation writer Malea Martin labeled the Palace “saved” in her article published under a headline of “Transitions: Places Restored, Threatened, Saved and Lost.” Carter says that the exposure in Preservation may open up tax credits that then would attract more investors.
